About Labongo Educational Services (LES)
Launched in 2013, LES works with youth and individuals to provide information empowerment in community and relief of poverty by providing advice on education, training and development (apprenticeships, career paths, CVs and volunteering), community sexual health education (HIV/AIDS awareness and teenage pregnancies).

In the UK, we organise fund raising functions to support the work of the charity. In addition to the fundraising drives, we organise specific events aimed at young and old people to promote positive and social cohesion in the community. Also LES provide information on employment, asylum, immigration and legal advice, promotion of race equality and inter-community relationship.

Our 2014 workshops in Clapham Common, South London, provided information to young people on how to become Useful Apprenticeships, Good guide to Sexual Health, Keeping Safe, Youth Career Paths, Training, volunteering and Employment.
In Uganda, we have now part completed building of the community learning institution for children aged 4 to 16. The community institution has enrolled 30 pupils in 2015 , grew to 104 in 2016 and to 200 in 2018 academic years.
The expansion of the community institution to provide further academic and vocational training aimed at useful skills, experience and qualifications, is under way.
LES was founded in memory of Mr Liugi Labongo and his wife Esther. Mr Labongo was an educationist in Northern Uganda, who educated most professionals of today. He dedicated his life to educating children. His principle was that no child should be denied education, therefore he went as far as paying school fees and providing educational requirements for so many children.
